About

Olivia Makayla Herring is a Hispanic photographer and filmmaker. Her work delves into themes of memory, and perception in relation to her predominant subject matter: women and space. She explores the interplay of light and shadow to illustrate artificial and natural construction of duality. Her background in candid photography with Fuji Film has led her to continue documenting her siblings and surroundings with 35mm film. Currently, Olivia is pursuing a BFA degree at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with an emphasis in photography and film.
